Restored to its Original Charm. The Acacia House Hotel was built in the late 1880s as the annex of The Belmont Hotel, then one of Bar Harbor's largest hotels. It has been recently restored to its original charm and reopened.

Directions. To get to The Acacia House Hotel, please take Route 3 from Ellsworth toward Bar Harbor until you come to a stop sign (approximately 18 miles). Turn left on Mt. Desert Street (which is still Route 3) and take your third left onto High Street. The Acacia is at the end of the block on the right.
