Bar Harbor is a vibrant community, and Acadia National Park is its neighbor. We love to share its goodness with everyone who comes through the door (but only if you want, we promise). Want a workout? Hike, bike, kayak. But not everyday? Tour a farm, take a cruise, get a massage, join a bird carving workshop, listen to a reading—so many choices!

We’ll help get you where you want to go with directions to an easy mountain bike loop for the whole family or a gorgeous hike along a waterfall to an ocean view. Try rock climbing with Atlantic Climbing School (where our oldest son is a climbing guide.) We can book you a day sail on the bay, get your tickets to join Diver Ed on board the Starfish Enterprise, or suggest our favorite spots for souvenirs and Maine-made crafts. There’s even a free bus service that lets you park your car at the Inn and travel all over the Island. It's a great way to save some money and see the park. Want more?
