What our guests say about Acacia

"We loved our stay at Patty and Bruce's Acacia House B&B in Bar Harbor. Here's why:
1. Great location - close to everything.
2. Terrific value for location, quality of breakfasts, and Patty's attentiveness and kindness.
3. Breakfasts consisted of Patty's hot blueberry or cranberry muffins, danish, delicious coffee, cereal, fresh cut fruit, juice, english muffins, etc. Always served on time!
4. Our unit was simple, but very clean and quiet.
We'd go back in a minute. After all, Patty and Bruce previously owned a restaurant and they know what people like. If you are looking for excellent value and a very pleasant stay, stay at the Acacia House in Bar Harbor!"

"Patty and Bruce exemplified what Bed and Breakfast hosts should be-- attentive to the travelers' needs, responsive to requests about Bar Harbor and the local area, people friendly and providing a cozy, clean area for the weary traveler. The breakfast food fare was varied with blueberry coffee, bakery pastries, Patty's signature muffins, fruit, etc.

Having Patty suggest that we leave the car in her parking area while we went on a whale watch and had lunch was the extra piece that added to why Acacia Bed and Breakfast is a good location to walk to most of what makes Bar Harbor buzz.

Thank you,Patty, for the lunch suggestion of the Thirsty Whale where the locals partake of seafood and other choice offerings.

Bruce was seen caretaking the property and working on projects for maintaining this little gem by the sea!!!

"This hotel in under new management this year. We were very pleased with the room. It was quite pretty and homey. It was also clean and well kept. We stayed on the second floor where there was a "private patio" outside of our room for outdoor enjoyment. The hotel was central to Main Street (within a short walk away). Mrs. LaMotte, one of the proprietors (along with her husband), was very pleasant and genuine. We would definitely consider staying there again.

"Patty made us feel like we were members of the family. She and her husband were extremely friendly and very helpful. Location is wonderful and within walking distance of downtown. Room was very clean and comfortable. The blueberry muffins were "To die for"......the best I have ever eaten. You definitely will not be disappointed!!

"The location was fantastic. Patty was so nice and helpful. She was great at suggesting restaurants at night for us to try and hiking trails in Acadia National Park. The homemade blueberry muffins were delicious as well as the blueberry coffee. I can't wait to go back"

"We've been spoiled. Great location, easy walk to shops, ocean front and restaurants, we left our car in the Inn parking lot and walked everywhere. Large, cosy, clean rooms. Fresh baked muffins every morning and an Inn Keeper that was charming. We have already made ourplans to return this fall.
